chapter 2 HTTYD labyrinth

“UGH!” hiccup exclaimed throwing the saddle off aggressively, toothless cooed staring at his rider, “toothless he’s so- ugh! He doesn’t understand anything! You know when you talk to him he’s always staring at you with this judgmental eye like he’s judging everything you do and everything you say and you can’t just- ugh! It’s not fair! I’d rather it be me in here to freeze!” he exclaims throwing his hands around. Toothless growled he didn’t seem to like that idea very much. Hiccup pulled a dirty blanket over toothless before sighing. He turned away and looked out the window at his house. He heard toothless start to whine, hiccup turned to glare at him.
“Toothless shah!” he half whispered as the dragon whined louder, “toothless shut up! You’re going to get me in trouble!” toothless continued to whine loud and high. Hiccup stamped his foot in frustration,
“toothless! Be quiet now! Or no fish!” toothless stopped for a split second before continuing, “TOOTHLESS YOU STUPID REPTILE! IS QUIET NOW!” hiccup felt so angry, his father had growled at him, his dragon was being an idiot! And all he wanted to do was be alone! He started to walk to the shed door; toothless blocked his way whining loudly.
Hiccup felt as if he would explode that very second, he felt so angry and upset and cold and wet! he didn’t have time for this!
“I JUST WISH SOMEONE WOULD JUST TAKE YOU AWAY!” he screamed at the dragon, he didn’t really mean it but toothless was like a little brother, we never left hiccup alone.
Hiccup stomped out the door while toothless whined after him… after slamming the door toothless’s whines stopped, hiccup felt a little worried and looked through the crack.
“Toothless?” he whispered before opening the door fully, toothless wasn’t there.
“Oh no...” hiccup whimpered, he tried to look for any openings that would let toothless through… there was none big enough apart from the door.
“Hello hiccup,” the voice appeared from nowhere it was crisp and cold, hiccup spun around to lock eyes with the intruder. He was a tall man with amazing blue eyes and dark hair that brushed at his shoulders, he wore tattered black pants with boots that spun around his ankles. His shirt looked about 4 sizes too big, a dirty cream colour with strings hanging off and the smirk that played across his lips was more creepy then inviting.
“What- who are you?! What are you doing in my shed?!” hiccup roared to the intruder, the man merely smiled and watched hiccup.
“Now don’t act all defensive! We are friends hiccup, I granted your wish!” he laughed stepping closer to hiccup, hiccup stepped back squinting at the man.
“What wish? I wished for nothing…” hiccup whispered, “and we are not friends, I don’t know you at all.” He motioned to the door but the man sat still.
“Oh sorry for that, I am Eric and you wished to rid of that dirty reptile and I did as you ask,” the man bowed before hiccup then flashed him a grin.
“”WHAT? Where-where’s toothless!? What-what have you done with him?!” hiccup yelled, sounding more like a scared child then a brave man he intended to be.
“I just got rid of him, like you said!” Eric explained, “I honestly don’t know what your problem is! You wished for something and I gave it to you!”
“No, I was wrong I-I- please just give him back!” hiccup pleaded, Eric raised an eyebrow and looked slightly annoyed, he then walked to the window pointing out to it.
“He’s there! In the dragon dungeon!” he said squinting at hiccup; hiccup glanced out the window to see a small dark building surrounded by a huge maze. He looked around to notice that they weren’t in the shed anymore; he spun back to Eric about to ask him why they were here but Eric was already talking.
“Because I find you quite pathetic, I will make you a deal, if you complete my labyrinth in 13 hours I will give you your dragon back. But if you don’t… we kill you and the dragon, how does that sound?” he explains, hiccup bit his lip.
“Awful,” he whispered, but Eric didn’t respond, he glanced back at him but he wasn’t there. Hiccup was alone at the door of the labyrinth where toothless was waiting for him on the other side.
